Warf is utilized for the treatment and prevention of dangerous blood clots that can form in the veins (venous thrombosis), in the lungs (pulmonary embolism), during certain types of irregular heartbeats (atrial fibrillation), or after undergoing heart valve replacement. Additionally, Warf is employed to lower the chance of stroke and other complications in individuals who have experienced a heart attack. Warf functions as an anticoagulant, inhibiting the production of specific clotting factors, thereby preventing the formation of blood clots.
Use Warf strictly as your physician prescribes. Do not exceed or reduce the recommended amount or duration of the medication. Adhere to the instructions provided on your prescription label. Your doctor may periodically adjust your dosage to ensure optimal results. Take Warf consistently at the same time each day. It can be consumed with or without food. While taking Warf, avoid engaging in any weight loss diets. Inform your doctor if there are any changes in your body weight. Regular blood tests will be necessary while you're on Warf, so make sure to visit your physician frequently.
It may be necessary to temporarily discontinue the medication if you require antibiotics, surgery, dental procedures, a spinal tap, or spinal anesthesia (epidural). Continue to take Warf even if you are feeling well. Do not skip any doses, unless specifically instructed by your doctor. If you forget a dose of Warf, reach out to your doctor immediately.
